Jacques Cordary (b. March 24, 1837, d. May 1, 1906)
Jacques Cordary (son of Antoine Cordary and Madeleine Scheid) was born March
24, 1837 in Hottviller, France, and died May 1, 1906 in Baltimore,
Maryland290. He married Anna Barbara Weigle on January 18, 1858 291.

1860 Census, June 4, Gettysburg, PA.: Jacob, his wife, and daughters Mary C.
and Margaret E. are listed living with Anthony Codori (age 65) and Magdalene
Codori (age 62). Jacob was 23 at the time, owned no real estate, but had
personal property valued at $100. Margaret E. was 4 months old at the time, but
died soon thereafter on July 26, 1860.
1870 Census, July 16, Gettysburg, PA.: Jacob & his family lived in Gettysburg
with six children - Mary, age 12; Annie, age 9; Katie & John age 4; Clara, age
3; and Aggie, age 1. Jacob was described as a carpenter who won $1600 in real
estate and $150 in personal property.
Jacob Codori was first listed in the Baltimore City Directory in 1878 as a
carpenter living at 345 N. Ann Street, where they lived at least until 1886.
The Baltimore Directory of 1888 lists Jacob and his family living at 1029 N.
Ann Street (also known as Hopkins Avenue).
