Thomas Paul Cole

Mass of Christian burial for Thomas P. Cole, 63, of 2 Peach Tree Lane, Boiling Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Marsh Drive, South Middleton Township.
He died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997 in his home.

Born June 22, 1934 in Gettysburg, he was a son of the late Richard M. and Catherine Codori Cole. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.

Retired in 1994 after 44 years of service with Sprint United Telephone Co. in Carlisle, he was a member of the Elks Lodge in Gettysburg and a 20-year veteran of Gettysburg Fire Department.

Mr. Cole was a 1952 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Joan Rickrode Cole; four sons, Steven R. of Endwell, N.Y., Michael A. of Hershey, Timothy A. of Mt. Holly Springs and Joseph R. of Carlisle; a daughter, Cindy L. Eichhorn of Mt. Holly Springs; seven brothers, Richard of Redbank, N.J., Kenneth and Philip, both of Orrtanna, David of Norristown, and William, Edwin and James, all of Gettysburg; a sister, Patricia O'Brien of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cole.

The Rev. Andrew J. Fontanella will officiate at Friday's mass. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Cemetery, Orrtanna.

Friends may call from 7 to 8 P.M. today at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, where a rosary service will be held at 8 P.M.
